Amazing coastline and awesome waves invite surfers

Ericeira is just a short drive north of Lisbon and one of the first worldwide surf reserves established in 2011 to preserve and protect the amazing coastline and awesome waves that invite surfers in from all across the globe.

Here at the Magik Vanilla surfcamp you’ll get the chance to ride excellent beach, reef and point breaks including well know world class spots like Ribeira d’ilhas, Pedra Branca and Foz do Lizandro. No matter what your level or experience is, the friendly and knowledgeable instructors will make sure your pushing your limits and having a sweet time in the ocean, you’ll make huge progress during the camp that’s for sure!

Surfcamp is close to the town centre and the beach

The surfcamp itself is ideally located in a tranquil corner of town that is still close to the centre and the beach. With a total of 9 rooms the camp can host up to 28 guests in double, twin and dorm rooms, great for solo travellers, couples and groups. It a great place to chill out after long hours in the water. Crank up the BBQ, blast some tunes and kick back in the garden or on the terrace. The camp has a TV room, library, fully equipped kitchen, balconies and wireless throughout.

Instructors help to get the most out of each wave

Surf lessons are two hours long and the instructors are with you in the water the whole time making sure your getting the most out of each wave and learning from your wipeouts! Most lessons are taught at Sao Juliao, a wide beach with great waves for learners. You will be spoilt for choice with the selection of fantastic beaches and even better waves in this region. Each day the instructors will read the conditions and make sure you are riding the optimum waves for your ability.

Great value packages include 7 or 14 night of accommodation and instruction. All the equipment you need for lessons will be provided, transfers to beaches and surf locations are also covered. If you’re hungry for more surfing you can even book extra lessons.
